Lovely Christmas Lady Graphic

A beautiful Edwardian lady wrapped up in a fur decked with holly. She wears a wide brim hat topped with a bow. Snow is falling down all around her, giving the viewer the sense that Christmas is near. The woman has a bit of wry expression, not very cheerful. It makes the viewer wonder why. Or, perhaps, I’m merely reading too much into it.

At any rate, she’s lovely, and I hope you find her useful for your creations.

This old image from 1921, that I’ve titled: “Tom Turkey Thanksgiviing Clipart” is wonderful. I especially like the turkey in this graphic, the design and vivid color. So I decided to cut him out.
Here’s a version on PNG file with a transparent background. He would make a great design element for your harvest creative project.

Cupid Loses Arrow Seamless Tile

A gorgeous seamless tile I made from a Victorian or Edwardian trade card for, believe it or not, butter. Such a lovely image for an advertisement, but they were a highly collectible commodity back in the days when people used them in scrapbooks and to create various decorations. Truly, such ad cards were artistic treasures in the Victorian era.

Cupid Loses Arrow Graphic

A Victorian or Edwardian cupid in gorgeous pastel colors. The pink shades really pop and yet the whole image is so pleasantly soft. The cupid apparently lost his arrow in the water and is trying to retrieve it. I only just acquired this image. I knew I had to buy it and share it with you the first time I saw it as it would not only be great for Valentine’s Day projects but also for numerous projects and crafts all through the year.

This is such a wonderful image that I decided to make a seamless tile from it. So if you like this image don’t miss the tile as it would be great for flood filling a background paper or for a photoshop pattern.

This image was originally a Dutch trade card. The back is in Dutch, and I translated it to learn that it’s an ad for “Fine Natural Butter.”

What a gorgeous image! Valentine’s Day may be a while away, but this image is eye-catching all through the year. Little can be sweeter than a Victorian cupid, red roses, forget-me-nots, and doves. Actually, the cupid is Edwardian as this vintage image is from 1909. It’s such an adorable illustration that I decided to make a seamless tile from it. A wonderful Christmas Sled Scene, featuring a boy on a sled, a Christmas tree slung over his shoulder. There’s snow and pine trees all around him. Just behind him are two adults on a sled. One gets the sense that he and his parents went looking for the perfect tree and found it.

There’s a date on the back of the image. I can’t fully make it out, but I believe it’s 1914.

This image will be great for so many holiday and winter projects. It’s a bright image, great for lifting spirits and instilling some holiday cheer during the winter gray. I hope you find it useful for your creative projects.

She’s just beautiful and would be great for so many types of designs–Christian, Easter, Christmas, and anything having to do with faith. She was originally published in 1923. I spent a lot of time cutting these Vintage Violet Graphics out–there’s truly no easy way to do so. But they were worth the effort as they’re lovely. They’re from an Easter postcard from the turn of the century, but they aren’t just for Easter alone. They would be great for all kinds of design projects. They would be perfect for a scrapbook. A gorgeous image of Santa with a bag of toys from the Victorian era. There are several Santa’s in this series of artwork, and this is the second that I’ve published here. Here is the first Santa, which I’ve dubbed the the Spirit of Christmas Santa.

The artist who illustrated them had a great talent for capturing the spirit of the holiday season. These illustrations seem to hold the jovial spirit of Santa and the hope of Christmas. They are truly something to treasure.

These Santas would be great for numerous DIY projecs and digital designs.
